tapering successfully for a big race is reducing the miles you run without reducing the intensity.  It sounds easy, but as you run less miles, you feel energized, capable of raising the intensity, but you have to save that for the race.

Today was the hard workout for the week.  9 miles w/ 5x600, 90sec jog in between.  These were tough today, legs maybe a little heavy from the long run on Sunday.  Still managed to get them all done @2:02 each.  Total time out was 66min.  Some easy miles between now and Saturday, then I'll let loose on another 5k and see what happens, pray for competition (someone to run with) and  good weather.

Chemo cycle 9 started last night and lasts through Friday.
