Came in fourth today against some tough competition at Sgt. Pat's 5k in Long Branch today.  My time wasn't  quite what I was shooting for, but I have a suspicion that the course may have been a tiny bit long.  The wind was definitely a big factor today, but shouldn't have slowed me down that much.

The first mile was good, wind at the back, 5;36, the second mile was mostly into the wind so I slowed a bit, 5;43, at this point I was ahead of my time from last weekend.  The last 1.1 was entirely into a stiff NNW wind, 6;26 for a finish time of 17;46, a full 15 seconds slower that last weekend.  Once again I ran most of the race solo.  After dueling with one guy a bit in the first mile, he passed me.  Then when we came up on mile 2 I passed him and that was it, 4th place.  The guy who came in third was last weekends winner, so Ill see how different his time was for a comparison.  The winner looked like a high school kid, he apparently went through 2 in 10:05!  Warm up jog and cool down made it 5 for the day.  Ended chemo cycle 9 last night!

Spring can start now, I'm ready.
