Too hot.  Nice for those watching or going to the beach, but not so great for runner's.  Still, after minimal running since the half marathon I managed to run my fastest 5 miles ever.  First mile was a little faster than I expected, but 5:46 felt OK, 2 was fine at 5:55, 3 through town was good, 5:47, 4 started to feel heavy, 6:06, but was able to pick it up for the last mile, 5:46, and come through as the 19 male (I think 20th overall) 29:20, a PR by about 16 seconds.  I guess all the rest Ive gotten in the last few weeks helped, it was a tough race though, I didn't have much left at the end.  Today I also did something I normally don't do, especially when its hot, I did about a mile warm up and some strides, I think that may have helped that first mile feel a little easier, so 6 total for the day.

Now for something completely different, plumbing; hopefully by the end of the day tomorrow, I'll be taking a high pressure hot shower!
