I did 18 today in the perfect fall weather.  Todays run was a little slower than most long runs, but I tried to keep the pace steady throughout.  I did an out and back loop through Allaire.  I havent been that far out there in a while, I forgot how tough some of those hills are.  As a way to get used to running on empty, like at the end of the marathon, I skipped the small breakfast that I normally eat and just drank water during the run.  Some stuff Ive read lately says that doing a long run like this once in a while will make you physically and mentally tougher come race day.  It wasn't too bad overall, I didn't get too hungry until the last few miles, but I still had enough energy left to pick up the pace a bit, at that point I just wanted to get home faster so I could eat something.  I'm feeling good now, I've been feasting since I got home, took an ice bath and a hot shower, and now am ready to relax for the rest of the day.  Total running time was about 2:20.

Total for the week: 63
         for the  year: 1818
