What a day!  Shirtless running on Thanksgiving?  The wind made today's run a little tougher than it had to be.  When I left the house it was blowing WSW, I decided against running straight into the wind on the bike path, so I headed up towards the beach.  A two mile warm up with a tail wind and I was ready to pick it up, but by the time I got to the SG boards the wind had switched, pretty much straight S.  So I took off heading north with a nice tail wind, but I would have to face the headwind on the way back.  I got the pace down @6:30, comfortably hard, and was able to keep it there for the next 5.5 miles.  But the return trip wasn't as easy, the head wind broke my rhythm and I had to jog about half a mile to recover.  I left the boardwalk and moved a few blocks inland, then I got the next two back down @6:30, despite the head wind, so I got a good workout in.  I was hoping to do 8 @ 6:30, but I'll settle for 5.5, .5 jog, then 2; the effort was good.  Two miles warm up and cool down = 12 for the day @ 1:26, felt really good, soreness is gone.
