Today I was sore enough that I actually cut my run short.  I was going to do an 11 mile fartlek run, but after about 3 miles I could tell that my glutes and my shins were not going to benefit from pushing on.  So after five @ 37 I just called it a day.  There's no way around the fact that I pushed too hard last week.  Instead of easing into the hills, I went in head on.  I felt great during the workouts, but I'm paying the price now.  It's never a good idea to do some workouts so hard that you sideline yourself for other workouts, and that's exactly what I did; I had to miss today's fartlek sessions, but hopefully in doing so, I should be recovered by Thursday for another quality workout.  Tomorrow will be easy distance.

I should definitely know better than to do this, but sometimes when you're feeling good, it's hard to hold back.  At least I know when sore is too sore.
