At the end of a pretty intense week of training, I did today's 21 miler fairly "easy."  After all, this was the last 21 miles of my highest mileage week ever.  The first 8 miles I did on the bike trail, pretty much as a warmup.  Then I did a 7 mile loop up by Manasquan beach, a little faster, but still easy.  The last 6 was up by Sea Girt beach, run comfortably around 7:30 pace.

It was pretty chill out there today.  After running Tuesday's workout with no shirt on, I actually had to pull out the hat and gloves for the first 15 today.  Total time was @ 2:42, which is just a few minutes slower than I'm hoping to run 26.2 miles in five weeks.  Two more weeks of high volume high intensity training, then I begin the taper.  Compared to last year at this time I am more than 200 miles ahead on my odometer, almost 70 more miles per month!

Total for the week: 86
         for the  year: 840
