I didn't feel so great during the first few miles of today's run, but it got better towards the end.  I though I would do a loop through Allaire and do the middle five @ marathon pace.  But when I started to speed up after 5 miles it was really tough to get down to race pace.  I think the thing that is making me stronger in the long view, consistent high mileage, occasionally makes me feel weaker.  I was able to do five @ 6:30, then I jogged a mile with some strides, and did one more mile @ 6:16.  This mile felt easy, like what race pace should feel like.  Basically, after a good long warm up I felt great.  14 for the day in just under 1:40.  What all this means for tomorrow's 5K?  I have no idea, but since I'm in shape, I only toe to have a shot at a new PR, so lets hope the conditions cooperate.
