Happy Father's Day to all the Dad's who might read this.

I finally got out for a run today, the first one all week.  Just three very easy miles.  I am realizing now that I am back at the beginning as far as running is concerned, so I just have to be happy to have gotten out there.

This week could hardly have been more action packed, which explains why there was no time for a single run.  But miles will no longer be the measure of the week, it will probably be hours studying, or maybe time in the lab.  But regardless, the end of this week marked the end of my first week of Medical School.  It was definitely a challenge.  My first exam is on Wednesday, so it is full speed ahead.

But perhaps most importantly, the end of this week was also the end of MY LAST CYCLE OF CHEMO!  Two whole years have gone by where my life was counted in 28 day loops, and now it has finally concluded.  This is a huge relief, and I'm really looking forward to resuming a "normal" existence, at least as normal as Medical School will allow.  But now I'm off to school to review for my exam and spend some time in the lab.

And beginning next week, I'm going to make an effort to establish a daily routine that includes a small amount of time for exercise, other than the bike ride to school.

Total for the week: 3 miles (haha)
         for the  year: 1203
