This morning I  went out to Green Lakes Park, about 20 minutes from home.  I'd heard people saying there were great trails to run on there.  Turns out they were right.  Its a park with two lakes in the middle, and through some weird combination of topography and geology, the water in the lakes is turquoise, pretty close to tropical looking.  Very strange but beautiful, and most of the trails are right on the waters edge.  Some of the trails do wonder off into the woods and that is where hills come in.  There were actually points when I was using my hands, kind of ridiculous but fun, and you really had to watch your step on the downhills with all the rocks and roots.  I did a very challenging 10 @ 1:21.  It was also surprisingly hot, but thankfully most of the run was shaded.  It was definitely a wise move to go easy yesterday.

Total for the week: 32

Probably the running on your hands was involuntary. That's called reverting/devolving back to your natural state, you damned dirty ape.

        Devolve... thats a good word.

Unfortunately the hands were put into play while running up a hill so steep it was more like a wall than a hill, rope would have been helpful.
