This was a pretty cool event.  I woke up early and jogged the two miles to the start to warm up.  They have a men's race and a women's race, separated by 45 minutes.  The men's race went off first and it was definitely a fast race.  The guy who was in the lead at the turn was a kid who I've seen running, apparently he runs for SU.  He was flying, I'm interested to see what his final time was.

Somehow I went through the first mile in 5:33, and it felt really easy.  After that there were no mile markers, they had kilometers marked, but those are meaningless to me.  I finished @ 17:30, not even in the top 50!  There are a lot less "fun runners" up here, the competition is great, people run FAST.  It was a good flat course, perfect weather, cool, no wind, partly sunny.  I almost think if I hadn't run yesterday's race I could have had a shot at a PR today, but either way, I'm very happy with today's race given the low volume of my training.  Two more miles to cool down and get home, seven for the day.

Total for the week: 31
         for the  year: 1606
