Good weather this morning for a speed workout.  I didn't get out as early as I wanted to, so that means by the end of the run I was starving.  But for me, I think I run better on a mostly empty tank.

2.5 mile warm up to the Manasquan Little League fields.  Then 13 x 600m @ 2:03.  Pace was just about perfect, raning from 2:02 to 2:05.  Rests in between were 90 to 100 second jogs.  This workout should have felt much harder than the 15 x 400 I did on Saturday, but it actually felt easier.  Running on pavement instead of grass makes a big difference.  This was just under 5 miles of quality speed work.  Total distance was 12 miles @ 1:34.  Now that I have re-fueled I'm feeling good.  I will sleep like a champ tonight!
