Fartlek.

I didn't feel great during the first mile of today's run, a little residual fatigue from all the miles I ran last week. I thought about cutting the run short and making this week a recovery week. But I stuck with it and got in 12 with 8 miles of medium effort fartlek in the middle. By the middle of the run I was feeling good and cruised through the end. 12 @ 1:30. Part of the high volume training is running through the fatigue, in the race that is the only option, just keep moving. But I am very much looking forward to cutting back both the intensity and the volume next week!
