Pretty good.

Well, I guess my legs are recovered from Sunday. I was able to do today's workout without much difficulty. Compared to last week, today I double the volume (8 x 1 mi.) and halved the recovery @ 2 minutes, and was able to average about 10 seconds per mile faster. The splits were, 6:05, 6:01, 6:05, 6:02, 6:00, 5:55, 5:58, 5:51, average pace @ 5:59. I consciously cruised through the first four, then hammered the last 4, not all out, but definitely harder.
I looked back at this same workout in my last marathon training cycle and I was faster then, average pace was 5:52, but I'm closer to that speed than I thought I was. I'm sure I could have gone that fast today, but it would have taken a lot out of me, and there are more workouts to do this week, so you gotta save something for the next hard effort, which will be Thursday.
Most importantly though, my knee is totally pain free. I think as long as I stay on top of the stretching, I should be OK for the next two weeks before the taper begins.
