Well the first day of the semester officially being over was a pretty lazy day.  Slept until 8:00, coffee, a little breakfast, then up to Paterson for the Phil Fraley Christmas party (I never pass up a free lunch  By the time we got home I was feeling very unmotivated.  Those of you who are lucky enough to have nice neighborhoods, or even better, the boardwalk, right outside your door, thats just an extra motivational factor.  For me, I was feeling lazy anyway, but then the thought of having to drive somewhere to get a decent run it just stinks.  So since I had to go clean the office tonight, I decided I'd just put my gear on and head over to the Brick reservoir, get my run in, then get the cleaning done.  I was already making deals with myself before I even left the house, doing the math, figuring out how little I could do tonight and still get in my weekly goal.  I said I'd do at least five and go from there.  And maybe I'd through some speed in there too.  I wound up doing 8, 5 loops around the reservoir.  One slow, one fast (9:32) one slow, one fast (9:22) one slow.  The second fast loop felt great, just cruised, and in the end, I got in the full workout! which makes it feel even better after thinking I was going to lazy out.
