It's hard to believe that the last time I ran this far was more than a year ago (in November of 2009.)  Slept in pretty late today and then Hisako and I went out for a pancake breakfast.  After that we took the dogs over to Ocean County Park to digest a bit.  I finally found a way to run a decent loop around Brick, but you have to be running at least 12.  Since the snow is still a bit of an issue in spots, I had to ask Hisako to drive me over to Mantaloking rd.  Running down rte. 70 to get there wasn't really a safe option.  Once I got over there, it was a clear shot east down into Mantaloking, and the further east I got, the less cars there were.  The longest part of the loop through Mantaloking, Bayhead, and into Point was really nice.  Not a lot of cars, sun shining, pretty relaxing.  Then back out onto Princeton ave and back into Brick down the home stretch.  I felt really good throughout the whole run, though I was pretty hungry for the last few miles.  All I thought about was what I was going to eat when I got home.  Made it through 15 mile @ 1:53:50, which is just about exactly 7:35 pace.  The pace was even throughout, but the effort was more towards the end. Including the dog walk, I covered 17 miles on foot today!
