This is probably the longest I will run during this training cycle.  Since I'm not looking towards a marathon, there is no reason to run longer than 16 miles.  16 is probably even a little long for the races that I'm targeting, but I like running for two hours.  Today was perfect conditions.  Sunny, cold, not too windy.  I mapped out a course that took me into Bayhead, Point, Brielle, Manasquan, then ending at Mom and Dad's in Sea Girt.  It worked out perfectly to 16 miles.  The effort was medium, with the wind at my back for more than half the run, I had no problem covering the distance in 1:57 flat (7:19 pace.)  I had a snack then Mom drove me home (THANKS MOM!)  Now it's time to walk the dogs, then a HOT shower, then put my feet up an relax for the rest of the day.
