Today I did my interval workout.  For the last few week I've been doing 12 x 400 @ 80 seconds with 200 rest in between (all indoor.)  I had no indoor option today, so I went back to where I used to to this workout when I lived in Manasquan.  The road around Mallard Park is just about 550m around, and from one corner to the other, it's exactly 400, leaving 150 for the recovery jog.  Today I stepped up the volume to 16.  I intended to ease up on the pace to make sure I could get all 16 done with the shorter rest, but I didn't need to.  After the first one, which was way too fast (75) I fell right into the rhythm, with all the rest between 79 and 81, perfectly averaging out to 80 seconds each.  I felt really solid throughout, it felt good to do this workout so well solo.  Fortunately the wind wasn't really a factor.  Including warm up and cool down, it was 10 for today @ 1:15.  Total for the week was 52 miles, tomorrow will be work/rest day.
