Timing is key.

On days like today, with the temps not budging above freezing, it's nice to be able to time my run for the warmest part of the day.  The last hour or so before the sun goes down is when the temperature is at it's highest, today probably @ 25 degrees.  But with no wind and some sun, my 8 miler was pretty pleasant once I got warmed up.  I'm redefining my paces based on my training and workouts as of late.  I think my easy runs should be ranging between 7:00 - 7:30, slower than that will be recovery runs.  Todays run was 8 @ 59 and it felt easy.  This week is somewhat of a recovery week.  No long run and only one workout planned for Wednesday.  But I'm planning n racing on Sunday.  So hopefully the weather will be decent and then I'll have a true gauge of where I stand in my training.  I'm optimistic!
