Today I decided to check out this trail that I've seen many times but never run on before.  After thoroughly studying it on google maps, I was pretty sure that it would make about a 5 mile loop from my house.  Light rain wasn't too bad, but cool enough for gloves and hat.  From my house down 88 E until just past K Mart, then a quick left turn into the woods (passed a NO TRESPASSING sign.)  From there it was about 2 miles down a shady, swamp path.  Kind of reminded me of the woods on Morris Ave.  A few poorly built tree houses and one swamp crossing made of sticks, a tire, and an old storm door made me glad it was a school day.  It was pretty swampy the whole way probably due to the rain.  I wound up coming out into a park in a neighborhood just north of Princeton Ave.  From there it was about 1.5 home.  This might make a decent run, but only at very specific times; very dry days and very early in the morning before there are a lot of cars on the road.  So 5 today which was 2 more than I planned, so I'll be subtracting those 2 miles from Saturdays long run.
