After taking the day off yesterday and getting a solid nights sleep, I woke up feeling good this morning.  I headed out into freezing temps to do an easy 5 plus some race pace strides.  The first mile felt slow and heavy, but once I got warmed up and eased into a few strides, I felt back to normal.  Achilles felt 100% normal so I definitely made the right choice the other day.  I'm ready to race tomorrow, should be interesting since I haven't raced since February I think, plus I have been doing nothing but hills for the last 4 weeks.  I think I have a good one in me, the cold and the wind will be minor factors, but it should be fun.
