Today felt much better than last Saturday's fast run.  Probably a combination of a lot of things; no work today; good sleep; feeling fully recovered; perfect weather.  After coffee and light breakfast, we headed over to the Brick reservoir.  Hisako ran with the dogs while I did my thing.  One loop easy to warm up with a few short strides, then one loop fast @ 9:10 = 5:44 pace, then a recovery loop, then another fast loop @ 9:06 = 5:41 pace, and one more loop to cool down.  The second fast loop always feels easier, and today it was faster too.  I practiced finishing strong, making the last .6 of the 1.6 mile loop really burn.  Overall I felt great, 8 miles @ 55 minutes.  Ready for a good long run tomorrow.
