Another good treadmill workout.

Today's workout ideally would have been done on the track, but with the wind and the rain, that wasn't a good option.  So the next best thing, the treadmill.  This was a tough workout, but I don't expect my legs to feel too sore tomorrow.

2 mile easy warm up
1.5 miles @ 5:34 pace = 8:22
0.5 mile easy
0.5 mile @ 5:27 pace = 2:44
0.5 mile easy
10 x 200 @ 5:27 w/ 200 easy in between
1.5 miles easy to cool down

Total was 9 miles in 61:16

The only drawback to doing this on the treadmill is that I might have run the 200s just a little bit faster, but 5:27 pace is the max on my treadmill.  Otherwise, I felt great.  I'm hoping that 5:35 pace might be sustainable for 5 miles, which would put me sub 28, but I think in order for that to happen, I will need near perfect conditions.  I'm fit enough, so hopefully the weather will cooperate.
