When I first awoke very early this morning I heard a very heavy downpour outside, so I went back to sleep.  I woke up again a little later and heard another torrent of rain, so I was thinking maybe I might be stuck on the treadmill again.  But when I finally had the coffee made the rain had slowed to a drizzle and I really wanted to run outside.  I met up with a few people at the Point Boro track and had a very good workout.  After warming up, I did 6 x 800 w/400 jog in between; 2:41 (too fast) 2:50 (too slow) 2:45 (just right) 2:43, 2:45, 2:45.  Average pace was 2:45, right on goal pace for the workout; faster than race pace, but not by much.  The wind was a slight factor, but overall, the 800s felt easier as the workout progressed.  Including the cool down = 8 miles for the day.
