I can definitely feel the increase in mileage.  After work, the plan was to run an very easy 7 mile recovery run.  Even though I got a really solid night's sleep, I still felt tired all day.  So it was pretty easy to run easy and not think about pace.  Just a few minutes into the run I was already having that conversation with myself: "what difference does it make if today's run is 5 instead of 7?"  But instead of mentally giving up before even giving my legs a chance to warm up, I told myself to just get to the 3 mile point and see how it feels.  By the time I got there, it was easy to decide to go another 1/2 mile then turn around.  So I got 7 in after all, and even though I felt like I was dragging, I still ran @ 53 minutes.  Today was a good mental workout, reinforcing the lesson that sometimes you have to run when you're tired.
