I didn't get out the door as early as I would have liked, but since it was overcast, I wasn't in a big hurry.  It seemed fairly mice out when I left to go over to the Squan bike path.  The plan for today's workout was 2.5 mile warm up straight into 4 x 1.5 (@ 9:00 min. ea.) w/ .5 recovery.  The first one felt easy at 8:43, which usually is how it goes.  The second sucked in 9:02 and the third one was even harder in 9:08.  I almost called it a day after number three, but I toughed it out and did the 4th one in 8:58.  A very easy mile to cool down made it 11 for the day @ 1:20.  Average pace was about 8:58, so I'll call that a successful workout.  More than anything, that was a lesson on running hard in the humidity.  I don't think the temperature was above 75 but the humidity was a killer, the sweat was literally pouring off of me.  A dip in Mom and Dad's pool got me cooled right down though.
