Pleasantly surprised to find the air much drier this morning.  It is still hot, but less humidity makes it more tolerable.  Today was my track workout.  I was at the track nice and early planning on doing 8 x 600/400.  I broke it into two sets with an 800 jog in between.  I got through the first 4 pretty well, but after number 5 I decided to increase the rest interval to 600 instead of 400.  When it's hot like this, it's good to be flexible with your expectations.  I probably could have pushed through the last 4 with only 400 recovery, but I likely would have slowed.  Instead, by increasing the rest I was able to keep hitting my target pace of sub 2 minutes.  Average pace for all 8 was 1:59.  With warm up and cool down 9 for the day, running time @ 69 minutes.
