Celebratory Run!

Today was my last day working as a nursing assistant, a very happy day indeed! My unofficial rule for running in the heat is as long as the actual temperature isn't three digits, I run. Today I may have broken that rule just to run and feel free of a job that I was really not enjoying at all. When I was ready to head out the door, the temp was 99.7. If I had waited another five minutes, it probably would have hit 100, but it really wasn't too bad. There was some solid cloud cover and a nice breeze blowing off the river. I cruised through an easy 8 @ 58 minutes. Now it's thundering and looks like rain. Taking the weekend off, then beginning Monday, I'll be painting the house full time.
