Another beautiful morning for a run.  My initial plan was to do 13 with a 3 or 4 mile tempo section thrown in the middle somewhere.  During the first few miles, I was feeling kind of tired, and maybe a little hungry too.  So I was already thinking about cutting it short and maybe running twice today.  But then I know that sometimes that second run just doesn't happen.  By the time I hit 4 miles I was feeling pretty good @ 28:53, so I decided to make it into a progression run in thirds with a mile to cool down at the end (4 + 4 + 4 + 1 =13)  The second 4 miles on this loop are pretty flat, so I had no problem cruising through @ 24:48.  The last 4 was tough, lots of turns and fairly rolling throughout.  No big hills, but enough to keep you from finding a rhythm.  Plus at that point in the run, I was getting tired.  I was hoping maybe I could squeak in under 24 minutes, but had to settle for 24:12 (I'm willing to think this was worth sub 24 effort on flat ground.)  Last mile was a jog to get home for a total of 1:25:47 for 13 miles.
