I was up an out to meet up with some guys for a long workout this morning.  Started running @ 7am.  10 miles easy over the Brielle 10k course.  The pace felt fine, but no matter how slow you go, those hills still get you.  After the 10 mile warm up, we did 2 x 2mi. fast, with about a 3 minute jog in between.  First one was @ 11:50 and felt surprisingly casual.  The second one was more of an effort, strong and steady throughout with a little kick at the end @ 11:20.  The second one felt better than the first, and given that I ran pretty hard Thursday and Friday, today was just a bonus.  Another 2 miles to cool down made it 16 for the day.  The final really hard week is now done.  For the next two weeks I'll ease up on the mileage a bit and mostly work on race pace runs.  I want to have that pace be unconscious by the time race day comes.
