Jersey Shore Half

Perfect day for a long race. I didn't wind up running as fast as I thought I could, but I'm satisfied with a 4th place finish in 1:20:11. I went through the first 5 miles @ 29:40, feeling great. After that I just gradually got slower. I never really felt like I was losing it, but it was difficult to keep the pressure on running solo.
I think it was also a pretty sweet birthday for Dad! All the kids and grandkids at the finish line to see cheer him on. Plus Hisako, and Pat and Kara all ran well too. Now I'm thinking about putting a movie on and falling asleep on the couch.
