Well, about 50 hearty souls made it up to Tatum park this morning for XC in severe conditions.  But a day like today is what cross-country is all about.  It was cold, very windy, wet, muddy and slippery.  The course was probably very close to a true 5k today with some nice twisty uphill sections.  But unfortunately because of the leaves and the rain, it was way too slippery to try to get the time back on the downhills.  I usually love to fly down the hills, running recklessly, but doing that today would have definitely resulted in a bad spill.  I was very happy to run 19:05, good for second place and a pumpkin pie from Delicious Orchards!  I didn't bother with a cool down today, just too wet, so I only ran about 5 total.
