Tired.

Today I was way more tired than I should be considering the easy week I took last week. I thought of a piece of advice I read recently. If you exercise for an hour in the day, what you do with the other 23 hours is just as important. I realized looking back over the last few weeks that I have probably not been getting enough sleep to match the increase in volume; and probably not increasing my calories enough either. That combined with maybe some slight dehydration, and it's no surprise that I needed a nap when I got home from the hospital today. And then when I went for my run, it was clear that it would be a short one. I just did 5 today, and will probably go easy for the rest of the week to try and get back to 100%, plus with some skiing on tap for the weekend, I'm not going to push it. Two quarts of Gatorade and a nice dinner and I'm betting that I will feel refreshed tomorrow.
