After yesterdays run I didn't feel great and wound up having to start myself back on the cold meds.  After a good nights sleep and some french toast I was feeling ready today for another run.  With the wind blowing the way it was I opted for the treadmill again.  Since I was feeling pretty good, and since I wanted to get in some miles faster than just easy, I did an easy tempo workout.  Two mile warm up, 4 miles at 6 min. pace, 1 mile cool down.  So 7 total in 46:20.  The fast part felt relatively relaxed and easy, so I haven't lost too much over the last two weeks of low mileage.  And today I wore the heart rate monitor, which just reinforced the fact that I need to determine my max HR on the track.  The common formula is 220 - age (37) = 183.  But if that were true, than I was able to run 4 miles  at about 98% max while feeling comfortable.  There is no way that could be true, so while my average HR during the fast part was @ 180, my guess is that is probably closer to 90% max.

Total for the week: 22!
         for  the  year: 149
