USATF-NJ should be ashamed.  They couldn't even keep track of the laps for the 3000m race today!  That's embarassing, they are USA Track and Field!  As an athlete in the race, it gets very tricky to keep track, especially towards the end when your whole body is screaming for oxygen.  The brain can't always think so clearly.  So when the official told me I had 2 laps to go for the second time it didn't quite register as a mistake.  So I wound up running an extra lap, meaning also that I started my kick after my race was already over!  I don't really have any idea how fast I finished 3k, but I think I was not too far off my goal of 10 minutes.  I think I was probably about 10:10?  I'm interested to see what results they will put up online.  Brian Hanlon wound up running an extra lap too, pretty ridiculous!  But I am very happy with the effort, I felt strong throughout and had a good strong kick in the end.  A 3 mile warm up and 2 to cool down makes it 7 for the day.

Total for the week: 40
         For the year: 360
